The Fool Or the Fear

To be a part of the social image that is the celebrity would be an awful experience. Every action you make is scrutinised by millions of people and when your serious about a concern that the public should be involved in the tabloids over sensationalise and kill off your noble goals. The idea that the public pays attention to some one or thing is not a bad thing it’s the bloated stories that deafen strong minds from the serious issues. To answer the question "would i enjoy being a famous?" the answer is no but the idea that people would attempt to fallow my movements is amusing to me. I would propose a different question but one that still deals with tabloids and public obsession. "Would you rather be famous or infamous"?

This question really comes down to would you rather be never taken seriously or havesociety tremble at the very mention of your name? Infamy is the key to becoming something that can out live you by driving fear into the certain members of the public you can control what not even a million solders could the minds of the masses. If the public does not know enough about you and your actions scare them then they will automatically try to make you into something far grander than you actually are. An excellent example of the use of infamy would be Robin Hood. He stole from the richest people of the area and gave all of his loot to the poor. In the eyes of the king and his many servants Robin Hood became infamous and in doing so sparked fear in the most powerful people of his society. To the rich Robin Hood seamed like a one man army capable of destroying any defence put before him but this was not the case yes he was smart and strong but he only had to succeed once to gain a title that would crumble any wall put before him.
So by accepting the hate and loathing of the public you can control them certain events are closed down curfews are set and even criminals stay in for the night when a true symbol of fear walks the street. If your identity was kept secret you could even walk amongst other members of society and watch the world you create attempt to consumes your image before the public hysteria consumes its norms. Through infamy your image can be immortalised. Don’t believe me? Super villains are global your actors name means nothing across the pond.
